BCPIA’s Value Proposition

For printers and print industry companies, BCPIA provides resources, a voice to government, education programs and networking opportunities that are specific and unique to the industry.

BCPIA delivers valuable print industry-specific solutions that are only accessible through membership and through its affiliations with the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL), the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME), and other industry associations.

      Examples:

      • Government lobbying through BCPIA and strong industry support resulted in the Graphic Communications Technology Program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) . The Task Force was struck in April 2003 with the programs’ first classes starting in September 2006. Four classes have graduated from the program and all graduates are employed in the industry.

      • Education programs in 2011 included Frank Romano an Industry Expert Opinion (February 14th) Workshop Sessions on LinkedIn and Networking (June and September), Six-part Social Media Webinar series (June/July)and more. Additional special member only webinars were also available.

      • Networking Opportunities are held regularly to encourage and strengthen relationships and sharing of knowledge, such as the BCPIA 2011 Golf Tournament at Morgan Creek (July 7th, 2011) and the BCPIA Festive Dinner, (November 25th, 2011) CME events and more.

      • Access to resources is offered through affiliate memberships in the NAPL and the CME and a Premium membership in whattheythink.com
